Our story
Inspiring Hope and Transforming Lives
Our journey began during the conflict in Sudan, when millions of peoples were forced to flee their home in search of safety. In the midst of uncertainty and hardship, a small group of committed volunteers came together to support displaced families by providing hot meals, clean drinking water, and essential relief assistance .
What started as a simple humanitarian initiative soon grew into Shams Al-Amal for development – a dedicated non-profit organization working to support refugees, internally displaced persons, and vulnerable communities across Sudan .
though we are still growing and rely on the selfless dedication of our members and volenteers, every contribution strengthens our impact . Today our work includes health programs, community awareness campaigns, first aid training, psychosocial support, protection services, and other initiatives aimed at restoring dignity and building resillience .

Shams Al-Amal for Development operates under a general Assembly and an elected Board of Directors responsible for governance and strategic oversight. The executive Management team leads daily operations in accordance with approved policies and principles of transparency and accountability.
